Join our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) team, a branch of engineering that deals with mitigating risks associated with new infrastructure design and construction.
We work closely with engineers and utility owners to help identify utility conflicts using an array of technologies, including electromagnetic line locators, ground penetrating radar, GPS, conventional survey and vacuum excavation.
Our work requires a high level of precision and technical ability.
Colliers Engineering & Design seeks a qualified individual to grow the Engineering business.
This person will be responsible for overseeing the engineering aspects of SUE and Utility Engineering/Coordination, and assisting with the development of the municipal and civil/site engineering disciplines in the Texas market as well as assisting in growing existing disciplines.
Main responsibilities include managing SUE and Utility Engineering projects and deliverables, developing business, building a staff and generating and maintaining clients.

1 Extensive knowledge of SUE, Utility Engineering, Utility Design, Utility Coordination.
Familiarity with Bentley Microstation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise.
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of civil site development including site design, stormwater management, utility design, cost estimating, site construction, etc.
In-depth knowledge of the regulatory permitting process for the region.
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Ability to manage staff.
Experience with preparing proposals, developing budgets, tracking budgets and the associated financial management skills necessary to run a team and monitor the performance of the business.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have their Professional Engineering license in TX.
Must have 8-15 years of experience in the civil engineering industry, state, municipal or private sector.
Must be well versed in the TX area market and have a proven track record of generating revenue.
Review SUE work and sign plans.
Review and approve inspection reports.
