Addison, TX 75001 (Onsite - 5 days week) Description:
The Systems Administrator will maintain a wide variety of hardware and software systems, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, identify system requirements and limitations, monitor performance, maintain upgrades complete related projects, document systems, and develop reports.
General Duties and
Responsibilities:
Maintain core functionality system performance through monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting; escalate problems as needed.
Install, monitor, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft Server operating systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot VMware solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot storage systems.
Monitor, and troubleshoot Active Directory and the associated services and network resources.
Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise server applications.
Monitoring of systems to collect, analyze and manage performance and capacity to identifying trends and prevent system disruptions and downtime.
Integrates monitoring and configuration services as appropriate, (SharePoint, Intune, etc.
) Performs firmware and operating systems upgrades and patches.
Participate in disaster recovery monitoring, testing, and planning.
Perform in depth troubleshooting for advanced issues and document proper resolution for future use.
Plan, announce, and carry out maintenance windows within IT Policy.
Ensure compliance with change management policies and procedures.
Ability to accept mentoring and constructive criticism in a positive manner.
Develop and maintain proper network documentation for Network, Servers, Applications, Security, Troubleshooting, and Procedures.
Maintain exemplary record of attendance and punctuality.
Support helpdesk team as a point of escalation for more challenging issues.
Other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent, and/or 3 years Systems Administration experience.
Solid Background in Windows 2016 and later.
Experience with VMWare Virtualization.
Proficiency with Linux administration and Configuration Management.
Extensive experience in Supporting Azure, SharePoint, and M365 Suite.
Proficiency with scripting languages and automation using PowerShell or python.
Solid background in automated windows deployment.
Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflow, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
Experience with Administering AWS or Azure Tenants.
Able to work flexible and varying schedule including weekend and on-call hours.
Maintain current, valid driver's license and state required insurance.
Able to travel up to 30% of the time (For travel it would be to the Jacksonville, FL 32216) Highly organized, accurate and precise in work functions.
Strong time management skills.
