Payroll & Benefits Specialist

HR Additions has partnered with a manufacturing company in search of a Payroll & Benefits Specialist.
This is in the office daily and it is a direct hire role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and prepare three payroll cycles - weekly/Bi-Weekly/Semi-monthly
  • Manage and work with payroll vendor to transmit payroll.
  • Payroll tax reporting
  • Reconciliation of payroll and payroll taxes to General Ledger
  • Go-to person for day-to-day payroll inquiries and system maintenance.
  • Create related payroll register journal entries in our General Ledger
  • Provide support for payroll and benefits related audit inquiries.
  • Administers benefits including carrier feeds via HRIS.
  • Analyze and review all invoices and make appropriate corrections.
  • Assist with benefits annual enrollment process, including updating HRIS portal and carrier communication.
  • Assist employees with login and member ID information
  • Reconciliation of insurance costs monthly
  • Preparation of semi-monthly contribution and employer contribution reports
  • Prepare annual 401k census report for testing, Form 5500 and manage the 401k audit

Qualifications include:

  • 3
    years' experience in payroll processing ADP Workforce Now
  • Strong Excel skills:
    V-lookups and Pivot table experience
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and UKG is a plus

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
