ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN is seeking a LAMP Developer for a Long-Term Contract (with the possibility of extensions and/or conversion to Direct-Hire) opportunity located in Dallas, TX. The LAMP Developer will play a key role in the integration of two of our client's enterprise-level applications with a partner in Canada. In addition to integrating these applications, the LAMP Developer will also create and enhance functionality of our client's systems. The LAMP Developer will leverage source code control for integration with new and existing product codebase. The LAMP Developer will design, develop and test new product functionality, add-ons or enhancements. The LAMP Developer will create Feature Implementation Documentation and API Documentation. The LAMP Developer will write commented code that meets the proscribed coding standards. Additionally, the LAMP Developer will develop algorithms for complex problems that are time and space efficient.

50% - Object-Oriented/Open Source (Perl/PHP/Ruby, etc.) Development 50% - JavaScript/JavaScript Library/HTML/CSS Development
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
Object-Oriented Open Source Web-Based Development Perl5 (STRONGLY preferred)/Python/Ruby/PHP Development C#/.NET/C++/Java Development MVC Design Pattern (General Knowledge) HTML/CSS/JavaScript JavaScript Libraries - JQuery/AJAX/EXT-JS, etc. JavaScript Frameworks SVN - Apache Subversion GIT - Distributed Revisioning/SCM - Source Code Management Eclipse IDE - Integrated Development Environment LAMP Stack - Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP Front End Development Versioning/Revision Controls/Integration - Tools/Development Product Development Familiarity Excellent (Written/Verbal) Communication Skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
