HR Generalist (Benefits) - Dallas, TX - Contract
Frontline Source Group - temporary staffing and direct hire firm - is offering an excellent opportunity to join the team of one of our Dallas clients.
Positions Description:
Responsible for day to day administration, and communication of the wellness and benefit programs, policies and procedures, including medical, dental, and life insurance for active employees, retirees, and those covered by COBRA.
Manages the wellness program and responsible for implementing and developing new initiatives.
Coordinates the participation in the Texas Municipal Retirement System;deferred compensation program; employee assistance program; flexible spending program; short term disability; long term disability; and other programs as they are developed.
Serves as liaison between employees, benefit providers and healthcare providers to explain benefits and research answers to non-routine problems as they occur. Analyzes total compensation and evaluates benefit options for the organization.
Assists employee beneficiaries in life insurance claims.
Monitors benefit providers' billings to verify employee enrollment and correct premiums; responsible for self-billing for life and disability insurance carriers.
Maintains Retiree and COBRA insurance enrollments and payments.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Public/Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field.
Three years' related experience in benefits.
Working knowledge of applicable federal/state laws and regulations, benefit industry trends, employment laws and HR principles.
Past experience working for a municipality and PHR certification preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to get along with others; professional appearance; customer service mentality.
